Case n°1

simple schedule (designs and videos) looping all day on a particular date.

  1. In the “explorer”, “Schedule levels” if not already done add a Player-PC (right-click on the master level, and select ” add Player-PC”).

  2. Give a name to the player. Select it in the “Schedule levels” window, enter its IP address or the machine name in the “parameters of Player- PC” and add the port use (in this case “5100”), and finaly apply.

  3. Select the schedule level once more in the explorer window (here “Master Level”).

  4. In the “parameters for ScheduleLevel” choose your schedule mode. For this example we will use the “Daily schedule” and click “apply”.

  5. Choose a date by clicking the corresponding button at the top of the schedule window.

  6. From the “media items“ in the “explorer” window choose your first element, from the “designs” or ”videos” tabs and drag and drop it in the schedule.

  7. A “TimeBlock” containing your element will be  created filling up the whole day.

  8. You can now add the rest of your elements in this  “TimeBlock” to complete the desired schedule.

  9. Click the “Publish selected” icon in the main tool bar to send the schedule and its content to the “PC-Player_01” player.

Case n°2

Looping repeating schedule interrupted by content played at precise time. We will start from the previous example and add a “TimeBock” from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and another one from 11:00 am to the end of the day. So we will end up with three different looping schedule : from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and finally from 11:00 am to the end of the day.

  1. Set the “TimeBlock” to its default duration by clicking the “Default duration” icon in the main tool bar :

  2. Extend the  “TimeBlock” to 10:00 am and add another one starting just after. You can change the  timing manually using the start time and end time in the main  tab of the “Parameters for TimeBlock” window, or simply drag and drop the bottom on the “TimeBlock”. place it from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

  3. Insert a final “TimeBlock”  following that and click the “Fill blank” icon in the main tool bar.

Case n°3

We will now look at a variation of the previous situation and create a schedule with a looping content interrupted by a “TimeBlock” at a given time. Only this time the play back will return to the precedent looping content after the playback of the interrupting TimeBlock. Still starting from the previous example :

  1. Set the “TimeBlock” to its default duration by clicking the “Default duration” icon in the main tool bar :

  2. tick the “Default cycle” in the “Main” tab of the “parameters for TimeBlock” window, and the  TimeBlock duplicates in transparent.

  3. Insert another “TimeBlock” form 12:00 to 13:00.

Icon

in this example the first cycle will play from  8:00 am to 12:00 am and will be interrupted by another cycle for an hour from 12:00 am to 1:00 pm am then the playback will return to the (default) previous looping content.

Case n°4

this schedule example is for a looping default schedule interrupted by a “TimeBlock” at a given time, that will play only once (not looping). Starting from the previous example :

  1. In this case the contents of the cycle will complete all day and will be cut at noon by the contents of the "TimeBlock" who will playout once before resuming the default cycle.

  2. In the example below the Timeblock pass content has a duration of 3 minutes. "TimeBlock" adjusts its size in the schedule depending on its density of content. However if the duration is relatively short compared to the TimeSlot (time of the schedule scale), the "TimeBlock" will adapt has a "Timeslot" interval in order to facilitate its visibility in the schedule.

  3. The reference to "1 x" tells you that the Timeblock is "a single playout".
